Kenya Dairy Board hosts the Rwanda Knowledge Exchange on Dairy Innovation and Sustainability

Kenya Dairy Board today hosted the Rwandan Delegation for Knowledge Exchange on Dairy Innovation and Sustainability.
The Board welcomed a delegation from Rwanda’s dairy sector, led by Ms. Florence Musiime of the Rwanda National Dairy Platform, alongside officials from the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Board (RAB) and key industry stakeholders. The delegation, comprising representatives from:
- Rwanda Indigenous Cow Breeders Organization - Rwanda Jersey Farmers and Breeders Association - Rwanda Friesian Breeders Organization embarked on a study tour of Kenya’s dairy value chain to explore best practices and technologies driving genetic improvement, productivity enhancement, and climate-resilient strategies. There after they toured the Kenya Animal Genetic Resources Centre and met with the Managing Director Dr. Benadette Misoi This collaborative exchange aims to foster cross-border learning, enabling Rwanda’s dairy sector to adopt innovative approaches in breed development, sustainable production, and climate mitigation. By strengthening partnerships between Kenyan and Rwandan dairy stakeholders, the visit underscores a shared vision for advancing food security, farmer livelihoods, and eco-friendly agricultural practices across East Africa.
