
Kenya Dairy Board hosted government and regulatory body officials from Ethiopia
Today, the Kenya Dairy Board hosted government and regulatory body officials from Ethiopia. Lamme Dairy PLC is on a three day experience sharing visit on the Kenyan dairy value chain. The 10 member team is composed of stakeholders and leaders from the Ethiopian government regulatory bodies, cooperative agencies and dairy processors. This team of experts and/or directors working in the dairy value chain selected Kenya for being one of the leading countries in dairy in East Africa. The key initiative for the visit is to bench mark on the regulation of the dairy value chain , including illegal raw milk marketing, quality milk production and increased production through training and capacity building of farmers. Their First stop this afternoon was Kenya Dairy Board where they were warmly received by the MD and taken through presentations on their areas of interest. They will be visiting KEBS, NKCC, KALRO and Fresha among others. They presented a Certificate of appreciation to the MD.
